Course Description: |
This live, interactive satellite broadcast is designed to provide useful tools that can help professionals improve their ability to effectively address environmental and public health concerns. A question and answer session will enable participants nationwide to pose questions to panelists via toll free telephone, fax, or TTY lines.
Goals To enhance the professional's ability to plan, implement and evaluate effective environmental health education activities that improve the capacity of individuals and communities to make informed decisions about behavioral, environmental, and policy actions that can improve health and quality of life.
Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
Identify three benefits that community participation contributes to environmental education programs.Define ways in which the evaluation process becomes more practical and effective by using PRECEDE/PROCEED.Describe how the use of PRECEDE/PROCEED improves the planner's ability to tailor health education programs to community-specific needs.
