| Course Description: | This live satellite broadcast and webcast will address issues related to a routine immunization clinic encounter. This program will exemplify recommended standards of practice for patient intake and screening, vaccine administration, vaccine management, documentation, vaccine adverse events management and reporting, and resources for staff orientation and development. Goals After viewing this program, participants will demonstrate best practice in each phase of the vaccination encounter. Objectives: After viewing this program, participants will be able to: Describe two recommended activities in preparation for the immunization encounter. List critical issues involved in patient/parent education, screening and vaccine administration during the immunization encounter. Describe recommendations and responsibilities related to post-vaccination care and record keeping. |
